Alumni

Welcome to the Bienerbij Alumni page.

This page is developed specially for you so can pick up where the visual communication training ended.

Here you will find some tips and tricks to take your sketching skills to the next level and strengthen your ability to communicate visually.

I hope to help you get started with this, so that you stay in (sketching) motion.  Don't forget to enjoy the process while your at it. Soon you will start to notice the fun you have when you show the world your lines, shapes and colors with impact!

Even the greatest artists can feel blocked when they look at an empty white page. The feeling looks much like stage fear.

How to overcome?

First of all, thank the voices in your head that want to protect you from failure. And tell them you want to move on to the next level, so they have to back down.

Now you can enter the playzone of flow: Just start somewhere, anywhere, and let your hands do the work. Not your mind!

Sketching

You're now familiar with the basic lines and shapes.

Also, you've taken your first steps towards building a visual library. And don't forget you've explored the other basic elements of business sketching.

Take a quick look at how you can develop your sketching skills even further.

More visual exercise
Keep it simple. People just want to understand what you are telling them. Too much on your visual will distract them. Either because they are too much in awe (!) of your skill or because they are figuring out what it is you meant to draw...
